RE: '96 4.3 thermostat problem

I replaced the sending unit when I replaced the thermostat the 2nd time around. Made sure it was all teflon'd up. I did purge air from the system as per instructions in another post. Gauge still will...

RE: '96 4.3 thermostat problem

I've had this exact same problem. Exactly as you describe it. Spent hours bleeding the cooling system of any air pockets-no success in wasting gas in the drive way... Changed the thermostat twice now...

RE: missfire question

If the misfire is only occuring in the #2 cylinder, even after changing out the plugs it could be a bad wire. I'd go with the above suggestion about the cap and rotor if i were you just to be safe.

RE: missfire question

RE: Odd Issue

Anybody else have any ideas? I'm worried that it may be the tranny.. and usually problems with the tranny only get worse, and that is the scary part-there is no way in hell i can afford a new one. I...

RE: Odd Issue

The RPM's do drop by about 500 when this 'disengage' occurs.

When I changed my FPR 3 weeks ago I cleaned the EGR and replaced the O2 sensor. Haven't ever replaced the coil..or TPS.. I will look...

Odd Issue

This one has me kinda stumped. My blazer runs like a champ since I replaced the FPR. However, I have noticed a weird issue while driving. It only happens when I am coasting. I'll have my foot...

RE: DIY fuel pressure regulator on Blazer 4.3L CPI engine - DISCUSSION

Is there any hope of getting the rest of this article re-written? My FPR has gone bad..and the Haynes manual doesnt do a very good job at covering the replacement procedure. I'd rather not take it to...

RE: Engine will not heat up.

That could be possible. If you didn't seat the seal right coolant could easily just leakright past the thermostat. Like swartlkk said earlier, the thermostat is the master controller of the coolant...

RE: Engine will not heat up.

I had this same problem last year. My thermostat was stuck wide open, after I replaced it the truck heated right up to normal operating temp. Thermostats are cheap and easy fixes. There is a good...

I am having the exact same problem as described in this thread. Not trying to hi-jack, I just don't want to start a completely new thread. One single question - if she still starts after cranking for...

RE: Torque converter sticking

I've had this problem before. Try running it on the highway for a few miles and then see if it is still doing it. If it is, and if it gets worse then check your fluid level, also when was the last...
