Transfer case swap

I'm looking into swapping my transfer case cause I believe it is the source of the clunking noise I'm getting from the front end. How difficult would it be to this? I have done enough vehicle repairs...

I replaced mine with a ball joint press rented...

I replaced mine with a ball joint press rented from auto zone and an impact wrench. Works awesomely! Definitely much easier then melting them out.
