how long to clear codes?

just wondering how many drive cycles it takes to clear a code after repairing the issue ? repaired a code p0442 . i have a 98 jimmy . thanks .

transfer case motor , seriously i am about to flip out !

my 98 jimmy (np1 , 3 button) would always go into 4wd fine but sometimes it was stubborn about going back into 2wd . there were no codes and everything else looked / tested fine so i always assumed...

never mind , found this post online http://www.s10forum.com/forum/f136/no-floor-heat-98-blazer-314010/ and figured out the door in my heat box was broken like most others . i used the coat hanger...

heater controll problem

i have a 98 jimmy . for some reason my heater will not blow air on the floor setting any more . vent and defrost settings work fine but when i switch to floor it pauses for a second and just blows...

simple rear brake question

on a 98 jimmy ,is the rear brake caliper piston the screw in type or can it just be compressed with a C clamp ?

4x4 works ! .. almost ...

i have a 98 automatic with 3 button control .
no codes .
vacuum lines = good .
actuator = good .
cable = good .
switch = good .

2hi - 4hi = good .
4hi - 4lo = good .
4hi - 2hi...

try driving in reverse while changing to 2hi .
you also might be able to push the cable by hand into 2hi . ill bet it is either the cable or the actuator .

on mine it feels like the torque converter is kicking in very early in 3rd under light throttle . its a real pain .

i have a 98 jimmy , auto trans , 110k .
sometimes when i use 4hi it goes into it fine but has trouble going back into 2hi . when i press the button the light flashes and i can hear the motor...
