expect to pay several hundred dollars for specialty tools for the 4l60e. i was researching this as well and found this website that has the astg book and the tools. don't know how these tools...

the bodies of the ht6 compressor found on these are also notorious for a slow leak. Many times, the leak will be on the underside of the compressor body, where it is difficult to detect.

there is a third bolt on the rear that holds a bracket to the alt. Other than that, i had to use a pry bar against the alt body to remove it from the sleeves on my 2000.
