put a box end wrench across the front and across 2 bolts or 1 bolt and the center, should be enough to loosen a bolt or 2 ( dont remove totally ) then loosen the other two. ( how i've done it )

It probably wouldn't hurt to clean the ground connection on your block, at the end of the NEG battery connection, a little wire brush will do wonders.

Also wire brush or scrape the cable...
