thanks for the replies, so Dino55 i should replace only the wireing harness not the ignition switch? Is it by the way normal that you can take your key out of the ignition with the engine running?

that could be it, cause i can take my key out when the key is in the mode where only your radio, wipers and map lights can be switched on...

is there a way of checking the cam lobe without taking the camshaft out? i already measured the travel distance of the pushrods and they were good, but i dont know how accurate that measurement was....

Yeah i added 4.5 quarts without filling up the filter, should i have added more? I used 5w-40 fully synthetic, but i think its weird that the noise isnt there all the time, so i doubt that something...
