sounds almost like a rod knock because it still does it while the engine is backing down to idle.. but a wiped cam lobe can sound the same...listen at the oil pan and have someone rev it up a few...

I posted a thread on this same problem a few weeks ago with no response..lol my 95 just started doing this too, engine has little over 3000 miles on it and everything is new all new vac hoses ...

cant really tell what that wire goes to from the pics but it may be a ground wire to the back of the head..the wires that ground are small and bunched up on a couple 5/16 or 3/8 ring connectors.or it...
