sounds like tranny is in safe mode because of a bad shift solenoid you can also check the fuse for the tranny, you should have a code.

I say dump a qaurt of lucas tranny fix in it and take a qaurt of tranny fluid out before dumping in the bottle its $10.00 and it does work sometimes, what do have to lose?

I think I lost the torque convertor lock up, when I drive about 70mph my rpm are about 2200rpms what is your rpms when your on freeway cruising? I think it should be below 2000Rpms right? Thanks.

yep that what happened thanks for the help I got it working after many many trys, but it runs great rebuilt heads, but now have a p1870 code TRANS!!! and hard 1-2 shifts..... any suggestions?

Well I had the head rebuilt put everything back together and turns on but sometimes when I crank it will make a loud clunk noise like its back firing I took the distributor out and forgot to mark it...

I put a steering wheel puller on the pully itself so I can hold it in place and use a large wrench to turn it, is that right?

Will I purchased a 99 blazer and it overheated it has water in the oil and is blowing white smoke, could it be a intake gasket problem or headgasket problem? Idles like crap. Thanks.
