not that your problem really sounds like what...

not that your problem really sounds like what I've experienced in the past. but check your fuel pressure. I replaced about $1000 in crap when I got a p0300 & it turned out to be the fuel pump.

okay, I haven't had much time to tinker the past...

okay, I haven't had much time to tinker the past few days, the one thing I did do was clean the maf.

This seems to have helped with the hesitation, but has done nothing for the engine straining....

The ecm *should* have been flashed when it was upgraded to EFI, so I doubt that will do it, esp since it did this before as well.
