99% of the time, the connectors and the wire clips that are inside the connectors that plug into the tccm are corroded to the point of no contact. I would have looked at those before buying a tccm....

Yes they did make 5 speed blazers. They have to be very rare. I've only seen one, a 97, and it looked a little wierd how the long shifter came out from under the dash.

Cam gear was probably junked at the time you installed the first new distibutor drive gear. Time to replace the cam and lifter as you said. I havent heard/seen too many examples of this problem.

Ive seen aftermarket pumps with NO weep holes.
