When you say the pressure should hold steady do you mean no change in pressure at all over 5-10 minutes or slight drop (1-2 psi) after the pump stops, engine off and key on?

Thanks for the info. I checked the fuel pump at the fuel filter and it check fine. I then replaced the fuel filter and double checked the spark, compression, replaced the spark plugs. that didn't...

thanks, I had them tested and they were fine. The problem was that we forgot to replace the reluctor ring (crank sensor timing ring). Once I replaced that there was plenty of spark.

Ok, I thought there might be something additional to "reset" the computer. I've heard that some of the newer cars need the computer reset, not just codes cleared if there is a loss of battery power...

I did some more checking on the fuel problem tonight and it will pump up to 62 psi with the key on for 2-3 seconds then the pump stops and the pressure drops to 56-58psi. I then waited about 2-3...

Have the computer re-set? I have a 97 4.3L 4WD with starting problem and have changed out a lot of what you have. So, how do you reset the computer?

I have a 1997 Chevy Blazer, 4WD, 4.3L V6 With Central Port Fuel Injection. It won't start so I checked the fuel pressure. the book says that it should be between 58-64psi with the ignition on but...

I'm working on a 97 Blazer 4WD 4.3L with a no start issue. I'm not getting a spark at the plug or from the ignition coil. I believe that it could be a crank sensor, ignition coilor a pick up module....
