just thought i would add just one last note here. gas mileage has improved substantly. before i was getting about 200 miles to the tank. 250 if i really was good to it. so far i'm at about 275 miles...

well i have put on about 100 miles and so far not a single sputter. my distrbutor was bad. play in the shaft and a worn gear. the wrong information was going to computer before it made its own...

i dug into the distributer today, i found the gear to be seriously warn, i put a new distributer in as the shaft had some play as well. havn't had a chance to drive around enough to see if it has...

after some more testing i have got the surge to go away. i drove around without the MAF sensor plugged in. this seemed to clear everything up. the only problem that arose now is that i get a real bad...

ok finally got to it. with the knock sensor removed voltage went to 5.04v. so that would mean the less volts the sensor puts out the more knock it detects. i orginally posted 4.48 volts its actually...

since i was doing mine in a 1 car garage and limited tools and waiting on a cherry picker i removed all i could. with the engine still on its mounts you can remove the transmission mount and unbolt...

oh i thought u wanted to pull the whole thing yeah you can... just unbolt the trans from the engine and pull just the engine. to help get at the bolts remove the tranny support and the drive shaft to...

i ended up pulling the case off then the trans then the engine. but if you could get the vehicle high enough you should be able to pull it all togeather... or may just have to take the T case off.

try checking you catalytic converter. mine became clogged and it would fall on its face a little over 2000 rpms. had no power at all after a steady cruise angie would just whine and and pound hard...

the torque converter is for my blazer its a b29 witch is the exact one they come with....2000 rpm stall...the transmission is also for the blazer it does have all the updates to it...im thinking it...

o ok yeah i removed the radiator support..and hood...had to lossen the front fender to get it off.....after i finally got th Y pipe off last nite i took the transfer case out..or should i say it fell...

what do u meen by the core support...are you refering to the transmission cross member that the end of the tranny bolts to if so it had to come out no room if it was still in......

im removing the transmission because i lost 3-4 and imjust going to buy a 700-E raptor junior transmission to go in and im removing the engine because while i got the money im having it rebuilt....

i guess i take no body has ever removed the engine and transmission.....

well so far i have learned the Y does have to come off...and that the transfer case must be removed from the transmission...

i thought the stock compression was 9.?:1...but you do have a good point about the piston....but i thought 10.5:1 was the "street" pistons...and like you said with the hypertech and the igntion....

i got a 97 blazer that after descovering a leaky head gasket between the oil and coolant, i was just gonna replace the gaskets and be done...

well i finally got a chance to reply...i got the rims and tires on...they do rub on the back part of the fender but not much however, the tires that are on there are do to be replaced soon so not all...

235 is a 29" at mickey thompson tires website they have an equivalency chart that sais 235/75 tires are 30"

i can only find a 2" for 95-97 upto 94 has a 3"...well i guess ill take one or the...

ok i see...so would i be able to clear the rear part of the fender with just a body lift..with 235 (30") tires..cuz i dont wanna trim the fender just to make a tire fit......and is the 2" the only...
