Have not solved it yet. I can tell you that on my engine when your replace the spider, the FPR is also replaced, its 1 unit, so that didnt fix my problem.

I replaced the one on the side of the block. And it is the correct sensor, looks just like the old one, so now I'm going to play the game of track where the bad connection is.. IE ground, clip, etc.

Just changed the filter today, turned out to be a 16mm and 20mm. After spraying them down for almost a week with Liquid Wrench they came off fairly easily. Now to wait and see how it starts up...

Turns out this was the problem. The bushings on both sides were gone and the crossmember was hitting when turning. Couldnt find it on the ground, but once I got it up on a lift it was a simple fix....
