My guess is if the fluid is that dark then something in the throttle valve passage is stuck. You may have to drop the valve body and clean the valves.

What kind of fuel are you using? Some of the fuels with higher alchohol content are not that easy to fire cold. Is it possible that you might have filled up with E85 or something on accident?
