My Tailgate

I found a '95 Tahoe tailgate for my '94. I stripped and painted it and it is ready to install. Any tips to help me?
Must I remove the bumper?

It's just an old 80 watt bazooka. I guess under the carpet could be an option if I had carpet! LOL I'd rather go behind some trim but it looks like a hassle. Anyone done this? What am I in for?

sub amp wiring

I'm going to install a powered sub in my KBlazer where the spare tire goes. What is the best way to run the 8ga. power wire? Above the door, under the sill plate or other options?
