Before I added 20/50 oil, the noise was always there. It was and still is louder before shifting. The noise is coming from the front of the engine by the timing chain cover.

Just found out the dipstick in the motor is the wrong one for my blazer. The oil level on the dipstick indicated overfull oil, but we didn't put very much in it after putting the oil pan...
