I've checked it cold and it is full, the cap on the radiator is new, and the reservoir tank is full too. I am wondering if the heater core is just plugged up?

Ok I am having issues with my heat. It's luke warm to cold at times. I replaced the thermostat today and purged the coolant system of any air pockets to no avail.
