Man my blazer does the same thing! The core was replaced in 2004 and have no problems like you, but I hear the water rushing around too all the time.

I just went through that. Even when I would floor it the car wouldn't go above 3000rpm. Felt like I was pulling a train, it just wouldn't go. Took it to a trans shop and they said my trans was bad...

How to tell if transmission is original?

Does the number on the transmission supposed to match VIN number? (2001 Xtreme) trying to figure out if the trans is original. Took my car to a shop and he said the transmisson needed to be rebuilt....

Runs rough, Shakes like crazy, when about 2000 rpms at about 60 mph it bangs almost like a drive train type...
