Check The Hood hinges. I had play in the hood hinge pivot bolt that caused a banging sound and vibration. installed an oversized washer and tightened it down andthat solved the noise problem.

I had a similar problem for 2 years, thought it was shocks, driveshafts, brake calibers etc. finally figured it out one day, It was the hood hinge on the passenger side. I installed some oversized...
