replacing front axle HELP

iv been trying to replace my front driver side axle the only place that is left to get it out of is from the dif. but im not sure how i thought it would just slide out but no such luck. its on a 99...

my little brother wrecked his trail blazer its a 2000 and i need to get a fender and hood i found a 1996 blazer but didnt know if that hood and fender would work on his does anyone know if they are...
