It ended up being the rear u joint. Replaced that...

It ended up being the rear u joint. Replaced that and the problem went away entirely.

I initially thought skid plate at first too....

I initially thought skid plate at first too. Checked the bolts and snugged em up real good.

Noise is still there.

I honestly believe its something in the driveline. I'm leaning towards...

I'm getting this weird metal ping noise that is rather loud when taking the car out of park and putting it in reverse or drive.
