RE: Is it possible?

Wow, the previous owner must have put a lot of work making that look like a ZR2 (a nice, beefy looking one at that w/that brush guard) if it isn't a true ZR2. You should feel proud owning it,...

RE: 2 door lifted blazer

Also if its a 2 door ZR2 you probably got a full size spare placed conveniently behind the rear window.

There was a guy who did it from another forum on a cloth seat in his old Blazer, a 96 I think? It really isn't that bad doing it yourself from what I remember, the wiring is probably the hardest...

RE: heh this should be fun... question about getting a stereo system for an 87 s10 blazer

No HD radio isn't worth it. Most decks nowadays will have an adapter available for an Ipod. I'm partial to Pioneer and Panasonic decks.

When's the last time you did a tranny/differential flush? Last time I did mine, my MPG skyrocketed up. Do you have 4WD?

I'd go MB also. I've never heard them personally, but they are well spoken for on many other audio forums let alone here.

Cerwin Vegas aren't bad, I wouldn't buy them for good sound quality...

RE: 2001 4.3 Replacement

Assuming you need a 4.3, it would have to be a 96 and up 4.3 if anything. I can't imagine you wouldn't be able to use an engine from any 2nd gen S-series/astro/jimmy/etc though. Might have to swap...

Good place to buy remanufactured engines (besides Jasper)

So I guess that's what i'm gonna do instead of a junkyard motor. I don't like it, but I don't plan on selling my Blazer anytime soon so its probably the smartest way to go. Jasper may be a little out...

RE: Just ordered PIAA Super Plasmas

The bulbs have great lo beam visibility. You can see the smidge of purple they give off at certain angles. They also should be warrantied for a year. Dunno how they'd do with blackout covers though.

RE: In search of new headunit... advice?

Alpine's don't seem to have that high of preamp voltage compared to others. Not that it should matter that much cuz they are still nice units.

You could get a used DVD receiver from Ebay too.
