edit: i have a 96 blazer 4><4 and got the trans from a 97 4><4

i bought a rebuilt one, even though used. it was rebuilt less than a year ago. wht only questions i have are this. the bad trans...

as far as the overheating i dunno but for the no heat...... did GM still use that crappy quick connect for the heater hoses? like the one that should be on the rear passenger side of the motor? if so...

oil pressure switch or a knock sensor or maybe even a temp sensor? i had the same prob on a 90 honda accord. i couldnt get it started on its own w/o starting fluid. turned out to be the coolant temp...

my friend/mechanic is doing the trans swap for me. he fought the trans all day saturday and finally got it out. he had to remove the torque converter bolts to get the trans out with barely enough...

i had the same problem in my 94 s10 4.3. the local trans shop said i had "snapped" the band for 2+4th gear.

try runnin it to the wire thats on your parking brake. there is a switch that is attached to it.
