I would suspect a bad ground on the harness (usuallya white wire)at the truck, or on the trailer at one of the lights. when you hit the brakes, the power goes up the harness, and can't return through...

Is there an outer ring on your volume knob labelled something like "SCV"? Thats the speed controlled volume. I would imagine the ring has been turned clockwise turning the system on.

I'm 99% sure that your factory amp is located under the center console. Probably the best place to get your speaker signal is from the speakers themselves, but I don't know how the Bose amp will like...

If the blower fan is cranked it will also keep the heater core from warming up as quickly. Try running the fan at a lower speed while the car warms up, then turn it on high once you're ready to go.

Is this a 2dr or 4dr? Sound like a bad actuator, but if its a 4 dr one bad actuator could short preventiong the others from working. If its 2dr, then pretty much it can only be the passenger side....
