Anything is better than nothing. I have a Pioneer DEH-14 (AM/FM/CD).
Don't know how much it costs though (gift) but it sound great.

Here are pics of the 2 items you will need at Walmart.
Both together were less that $20.00. Make sure you get the right color install kit they come in 2 different ones, wood grain and black.

Goto Walmart and look for the radio kit and wiring harness that they have. Thats where I got both of mine from. Your after market radio and mounting plate fit into the new mounting kit. No spaces at...
