I beleive you'll have a wider turning radius and a more balanced footprint with the 4.5" b/s. Thornbirds are awesome! Go for it.

The other source of an oil leak in that area is the transmission lines that connect to the radiator. If the oil appears redish it may be that. Good luck!

My 98' S10 Blazer has aluminum disk brake calipers which got pitted and locked the pads and had to be replaced. Unfortunately, I couldn't find aftermarket replacements and had to buy OEMs from Chevy.
