RE: another fuel pump question

JB98BLAZER, I also just replaced my fuel pump for the second time. I did notice that different pumps will sound slightly different that the other(even though they are made by the same manufacturer)....

RE: Blazer looses power, chokes, then shuts down when over 85 deg outside

UPDATE:

Went back to NAPA and got a new replacement fuel pump (for free under warranty) and installed it last Friday. Truck seems to be running fine and the new fuel pump now sounds "normal" :D....

RE: Blazer looses power, chokes, then shuts down when over 85 deg outside

20Blazer00, I am not sure if it has a pulsator valve. I would probably have to drop the tank and take out the pump to check. However, since the current pump is still under warranty and NAPA said that...

RE: Blazer looses power, chokes, then shuts down when over 85 deg outside

UPDATE:

I got home late last night and when I pulled into my driveway I left the truck running and decided to go under the truck and listen to my fuel pump. The pump definately does not sound...

RE: 2000 Headgasket

It sounds very similar to the symptoms I had when my intake manifold gasket went. When your intake manifold gasket goes, it can also allow coolant to enter the cylinders. It sputters because you're...

RE: Blazer looses power, chokes, then shuts down when over 85 deg outside

Perhaps I have my terminology mixed up. When I mean the truck looses power, I do not mean it in an electrical sense. I mean when I step on the gas, the engine just boggs down (I guess I'm thinking...

If you...

RE: Blazer looses power, chokes, then shuts down when over 85 deg outside

Thanks for the quick reply Kyle. I had the codes scanned and the last code was from when my gas cap was loose and the other was from my evap purge solenoid. Both previous codes triggered the SES...

Blazer looses power, chokes, then shuts down when over 85 deg outside

Hello everyone, sorry in advance for the long post, but I just wanted to give enough detail in hopes to diagnose my problem.. Lately it's been quite hot outside so I started running my AC. A few days...

RE: Grrr...fuel pump

Make sure you slip the rubber ring on to the sending unit neck, lube it up really really well and install it on the tank. Might take a little persuation, a screw driver and a lot of cursing to...

RE: 97 Blazer wont start after intake gasket replacement

When I did mine, I ended up pulling plug#1 and had a friend stick a straw inside the plug hole until it touched the cylinder head (make sure it's a long enough straw!). Then I had him watch the straw...

RE: New starter, cranks but no fire!

From what I've read, the pump is cooled by fuel in the tank and it's the heat caused by running the pump while low on fuel that kills it. So I guess if you idled the truck a lot while it was low on...

RE: Intermittent heat in an 00 Blazer LT
