RE: Losing Coolant

You haven't found any visable external leaks, and there is no evidence of coolant finding it's way into the oil. Ok, apparently you have a steam engine now. What might be the problem is a head...

RE: Fuel pump issues

My truck's check eng light never came on through the whole ordeal. Your problem is slightly different. If the check engine light came on, even for a second, then the computer had to kick out a...

RE: Fuel pump issues

I believe that is exactly what was wrong with my ignition switch. Something to do with it not making full contact.

RE: High or Low?

That'll do, yes that'll do. Can't go wrong with the BFG mud T/A's. Had em' on my 76 F150 and loved it. They last like 40,000 miles, and for a mud tire that is exceptional.

RE: carb 2 efi

What year is the motor you want to put in your 88? You'll definately need post 86' motor for the 88' manifold to fit. Not only that, but pre 86' had a completely different style block all around. ...

RE: floor it

Sorry bout yur luck zero psi. There is nothing worse than a rotted out floor. I had a 68 Ford Ranchero with a brand new 390, C-6 auto, and completely rebuilt front clip, suspension and all. But if...

RE: Fuel pump issues

My fuel pressure was low when the dealer checked it 1st thing just like your's. That's what drove them to change the pump. We all thought we had a good fix. I'm not saying it's definately your...

RE: wierd noise from right rear

Did you find out what was making the noise yet? Only happens when suspension moves up and down, like going over a speed bump. I would almost think maybe the exhaust got bent during your wheeling...

RE: auto to stick

Man I wouldn't be supprised if it would be a direct interchange bieng a Chevy and all, but one way to find out is to visually compare the two settups. Look at one with your 700R4 and one set up with...

RE: Removing steering arm

I was thinking you meant pitman arm when you said steering arm. The pitman arm is the splined lever that slips over the steering box's splined output shaft. The other end of the pitman arm hooks...

RE: Removing steering arm

Did you try using a torch to heat the arm up red hot and penetrant to get in between it and the steering box splined shaft? If you don't use alot of heat and lubricant it definately won't happen for...

RE: Fuel pump issues

I had an 02' ZR2 pickup and I had intermittent problems last winter starting it. It would crank fine, but show no signs of life. I had it towed to the dealer, they checked it out and said the fuel...

RE: Annoying rear wheel squeek

So did you replace the rear axle bearings and the noise went away? That was my prediction, but I wanted to hear back from you to see if it actually was the problem.

RE: Annoying rear wheel squeek

My suggestion to you is to remove the new brake pads and apply anti-squeak goop to the caliper side of them- not the side that makes contact with the rotor. You must coat the entire (caliper side)...
