Winter weight?

This will be my second winter driving my '03 2WD Blazer, and I haven't quite yet found out the ideal amount of weight to put in the back. I'm concerned about having enough weight to get traction...

So I picked up one of those cleaning deals (the CD with the brushes on the bottom). I throw it in my CD player and it spits it out and says check CD. I got it to stay in there for a couple seconds...
