Top brake light, 97 Blazer

My top brake light is broken and I was wondering how to get to the connector that is underneath the roof. Looks like it's about a foot back and I can't pull it out far enough to get my fingers on the...

RE: Multifunction switch

Mine's a 97. I found a multifunction switch on a 96 at a salvage yard but they would only sell the entire steering column and wouldn't let me take just the switch. I bought one at Auto Zone for $184....

RE: Hazard Switch

Thanks, guys.
Hillbilly in OH: when you say relays are you talking about the two flashers that are behind the cig lighter, "the convenience panel?"

Hazard Switch

I was looking to replace the hazard switch on my 97 Blazer to see if it will solve the problems with my directionals, tail lights, and brake lights, which are all dead. Fuses and bulbs are all...

RE: Recall for 97 Blazer multifunction switch

I thought about doing that--just replacing the hazard switch. But since the car is in Puerto Rico, I think I'll bring an entire multifunction switch with me just in case. If I find out it needs the...

RE: What model Blazer do I have?

Thanks Mark. I got the VIN. Tried decoding it by research on the internet and while it gives some useful information, doesn't get that specific. I'll call a Chevy dealer. Amazing what they pack into...

RE: Recall for 97 Blazer multifunction switch

I'm going to be doing this myself, so hopefully I'll only be out the cost of the part. Was going to look for one in a salvage yard but figured it would be smarter to just get a brand new one.

What model Blazer do I have?

It's a 97 and I'm almost sure it's the basic model. The problem is it's in Puerto Rico right now and I can't check. It's a four-door, V6, 2WD and I don't think it's either the LS or the LT. I had...

Recall for 97 Blazer multifunction switch

I'm thinking of contacting Chevrolet to see if I can get a multifunction switch from them based on the earlier safety recall. The problem is I am not the original owner of this vehicle. Does that...

97 Blazer multifunction switch, again

I posted here a while ago about my 97 Blazer whose brake lights, turn signals, and tail lights don't work. Bulbs are good, all fuses are good. I discovered that the hazard light switch is missing out...

Multifunction switch

I mentioned in an earlier post that I have brake light and directional problems that I think are being caused by a bad multifunction switch. So now I'm looking for a new one. Looks like they go for...

RE: Light problems, 97 Blazer

So from lastcoupe's post, I don't have a way to turn off the daytime running lights?

The big red wire: Yes it was probably cut off by the previous owner. They did lots of butchering to this...

Light problems, 97 Blazer

I've got a 97 Blazer whose brake lights, tail lights, and directionals don't work. I replaced the ignition switch module and that didn't fix it. Brake lights work the first time you step on them, and...

97 Blazer electrical problems

I've got a 97 Blazer with some electrical problems. The brake lights work only once, right after you start the engine. After that, they're dead. Turn signals are dead. Oil pressure gauge reads 60...
