RE: Door Hinge Problem anyone???

Vspeers1, glad to have helped.

Swartlkk, I strongly agree to get the proper tool for the job. $16.99 is a good price for that. I paid around $22 from NAPA, but it's better than replacing a...

RE: Questions about general maint..help please!

Get AC Delco Platinum plugs. The gap should be .060 for a '96. The wires can be a regular set of AC Delcos. Change the cap and rotor as well. One major heads up about changing the plugs is the #3...

RE: Please help problem with climate control

Hopefully it's just behind the climate control switch. Mine has a habit of popping off where the vacuum hose comes through the drivers side firewall. I can't see where it is exactly and have to feel...

RE: Another Blazer problem

It sounds like you're just low on coolant. Make sure everything is topped off and see if you still have overheating problems.

RE: Oxygen Sensors - What NOT to do...

As an FYI, my '96 (OBD2) has 4 O2 sensors. One from either side of the engine, one pre-cat and one post-cat.

RE: Wind noise, leak

Black19, chances are the door hinge bushings are worn causing the door to sag. Do a search for "door hinge bushings" and see what you come up with.

RE: Ckeaned the MAF sensor and wow

As an FYI, be VERY careful when cleaning the wires. If you break one of them, then you're buying a new MAF. [sm=oopssign.gif][sm=headbang.gif][sm=boohoo.gif]

RE: Fuel Pump Replacement Cost

The buzzing is common. I wouldn't worry about it unless you have trouble starting the engine or it surges while you are driving.

I ended up paying around $600 to have mine replaced about a year...

RE: Clunking sound in 1995 chevy blazer

You may want to check the torsion bar crossmember to see if it has been hitting the frame.

Yep, those are the composite headlight assemblies, however, the screws sticking up in the picture aren't for adjusting. Those attach the assemblies to the frame. The side marker lights do blink with...

When you say "one piece", do you mean the composite headlight assembly? The headlight and side marker light are one piece?

RE: thermostat 99

Follow the upper radiator hose to where it connects to the engine. Fairly easy to change, but keep in mind that when you remove it, the coolant in the upper rad hose will come out.

RE: Heating A/C Concerns

That definitely sounds like a sticking t-stat. Throw in a 195 degree stat and do the heater hose check that 20Blazer00 mentioned.

RE: Heating A/C Concerns

It was just a thought. When your blazer is warming up, does the gauge go up to 210, then drop down or does it stay around 170 the whole time?

I would do a general search on the net for blazer performance parts. I don't have one myself. This is what I have on mine.

RE: Cold Air Intake a letdown

An FIPK is a Fuel Injection Performance Kit. It replaces everything from the throttle body to the filter. See the link.

RE: Cold Air Intake a letdown

Look at it this way. An intake/exhaust need to balance each other. A stock intake and stock exhaust work properly because they are designed that way. If you increase the amount of air coming in, then...
