I had that problem before, It turned out to be a bad alternator, The bearings went on it.

That depends on where he drilled the new hole in the cover, Make sure you look up how much that rear end is supposed to have.

You have to use a hose and squeeze the crap out of the bottle :D ( warm up the gear oil if possible it will make it easier to go in )

You can still drive it just make sure it is still leaking, That means there is still oil in there :D But just try to get it done asap .

I would not get one from a junk yard !! Yours is rusted out, thats why it put a hole through it. You arent going to find a good one in a junk yard in new york lol , Just get a new one, like i said...

There is nothing to it, Remove the bolts from the housing cover, and pry off the cover with a screw driver, scrape off the old gasket, ( have a pan uder it as there will be some fluid to drain out )...

You need to replace your rear end housing cover, It's very easy to do. You better do it soon or you will lose all the oil in there.

Just an update on my mileage . Well I changed the plug wires , cap and rotor , and plugs. and i gained 1 mile per gallon. Should i have gained a little more than that ??

I had the wheel off , Thats how i did the others, The steering shaft goes right across the center plug on mine. i dont see how you could do it without removing the shaft ??? Thanks for any help.

I want to find out what everyone gets for gas mileage . I guess this would be like a poll , for example : I have a 2002 blazer 4dr with a 4.3, and i get about 16 - 17 mpg .
