Cut the clear plastic cover off all of it with a razor knife and try that krylon paint made for plastic. I have a 97 and 95% of it peeled off by itself. The foil underneath will come off easily too .

My blazer throws random miss codes but I don't think it is an ignition problem. With engine running it's close to 62psi. as soon as I shut down it drops back to zero within a minute or 2. Installed...
