Makes me think of my failed catalytic converter. Half of the honeycomb inside was loose and rattling/shaking/pinging at stops or while idling, driving it was silent. Ya might check that out.

I had one do the same thing on a different blazer...

I had one do the same thing on a different blazer I had, pulled the abs computer unit and fixed it up like the video shows in the link. Worked perfect afterwords... good luck :)
