My truck did the exact same thing, turned out to be a horribly carboned up MAP sensor! I mean it had almost an 1/8th of an inch of carbon on it, also took of the intake plenum and sprayed upper...

Alright so my 4x4 stoped working, transfer case didnt engage for a week or so but now it engages but both 4Hi and 4Lo lights stay lit. Also I must be in neutral and press 4Lo for the tcase to engage....
