A straight muffler would be easier to run the pipes how ever you want but I would just dump it right after the muffler if you want it to be its loudest. And keep whatever you cut of for inspection.

there are no bushings in the top of the shackles just the leaf spring bushings on the bottom the top is just a bolt through the top of the shackle.

no back pressure = no power i agree with phil that if your gonna go with dual exhaust it needs to be tied together. besides a single piped exhaust can sound just as good as a dual.sometimes better...
