RE: heat

I had the same problem, turned out to be a vacuum leak behind the temperature control knobs in the dash. Maybe check there first.

RE: 'On Road' Tyres - advice / suggestions please...

Two words Michelin LTX. Good rain and snow tires, hardly any noise and I personally find them to be a smooth ride. Expensive at purchase, but easily a 100,000 km tire.

RE: filter oil

I agree, the oil filter is a cheap investment and theresults (worst case)ofnot changing it could do harm over the long term.

RE: Discount tire employees

My question is: Is there any harm to your suspension in running with a larger wheel base caused by a smaller backspacing? (Other than the fact they stick out farther than your fender)

RE: Coolant Temperature Sensor

You should have 2 wires, depending on the vin code you have, it should be a black wire andyellow wire. The sensor is in the left cylinder head.

RE: 4wd rims

like swartlkk said, you need spacers to make them fit at the same place. 1.5" spacers are what you need. I got some for the rear of my truck for 30 bucks each at an autoparts.

RE: 4wd rims

Dumb Question:

Backspacing is from the interior or exterior of the rim when you measure it?

RE: anyway to

You might be able to find spacers that can fit between the wheel and hub that will push the wheels out a bit and transform the 5 bolt into a 6 bolt pattern, but you should know that it will be made...

RE: Not Straight

I would definitely take a look at them. The easiest way is to have someone move the wheel left and right while its on the ground to see if there is any play in the joints. Usually you will see them...

RE: 4.3 vaccuum diagram,please help !!!

The lines that were capped were probably near the firewall on the drivers side, and that is normal. I had a vaccuum problem and saw that too. Went to check my fathers new jimmy and it was the same...

RE: Turn 4WD auto into FWD only?

If you are going to strip the body from the frame when you do it, what would be the point of having it fwd in the mean time? Just curious.

RE: manual conversion

Yeah, the best is to find a scraped one that was too badly damaged in an accident. Thats what I did when I converted my 86 fiero to a 4 speed from automatic. You have all the parts inside and out as...

RE: Problems associated with Bigger tires

True, true, but running different tire sizes on any 4WD with or without abs is not usually suggested, and its not nice to look at either. I still believe though that the abs will not be effected by...

RE: Boiling over

Quick questions

1. Does your fan turn on at all?
2. Did you bleed the coolant system?
3. Is your a/c cold?

RE: Problems associated with Bigger tires

I dont want to contradict anyone here, but I dont think your tire size effects the ABS. ABS is more hub related then tire related. It works with a sensor and little teeth in the hub. If the sensor...
