Return vs returnless MFI

I bought a used MFI from a 2005 4.3 vortec. It has a damper instead of a fuel pressure regulator, the return line has a plug in it. I have a 96 S10 blazer. Is there a way to make mine returnless?

Does the new MFI spider require the same regulator as the old spider? I can't find a regulator for a 2003 Silverado with a 4.3.?? Not even rockauto.
