Well I just completely replaced the rear end in my 04 Blazer with a G80 Posi out of a 1998 so I have extra parts available but the OP hasn't responded so I'm guessing they got it fixed.

I have a 98 and when i bought it ( used ) it has a white face cluster with Orange needles. they broke the thin clear lens that covers the gauges and I notice the needles light up but not the faces....

Not sure myself.. my 98 4.3 only gets 13-15mpg.. it has 172k on it, doesnt leak anywhere or smoke either. I just figured that was normal for a 4x4.. Blazer is a bit heavier than the pickup though..
