So removed catalytic converter and two days later light came on! Sensors up stream no were near cat !? Why did it come on!?

So just got a one owner zr2 Un touched and only modification I did was put a magna flow muffler has stock tires and I filled it and only went 170 miles to a take! What can I do to get better gas...
