Thermostat Direction!!

This may sound like a stupid question, but which way does the thermostat face on a 93 4.3 CPI engine? I'm confused because of the reverse rotation water pump?

I meant that I removed the valve from the fuel line. The valve threads into the fuel line. I got 2 different adapters from autometer, but neither of them had the right threads. It looks close to 1/16...

Why does it need a sealing ring?? What exactly would I be looking for? The sender is 1/8NPT male.

Anybody know that size the schrader valve fitting (fuel pressure test port) is in 92-95 4.3 CPI engines?? I tried the two adapter fittings from autometer (1/16NPT), but the thread on the fitting...
