EVAP service port question

put a new motor in my truck and the EVAP service port line that goes into the intake was bent soo my buddy cut it and re installed it but he cut the green cap thing off does this make a difference...

Ok heres my prob my horn wont work my electric hatch wont pop open my dome lights when i open the truck wont work all of a sudden it was fine before...I check the fuses they were all fine there 2...

ok ive done some readin on thiis site when i first pulled my motor i pulled the vaccume off the ball on the hood and noticed a lil tranny fluid in there now could that be why im not blowing really...

Soo when u usally open ur door ur lights turn on in the truck and such or if u scroll the dimmer switch to the top lights come on without turnin the truck on..But now all of a sudden it dont work for...

Ok soo i was having probs with it before only 1 settin would let it blow soo i change the controll pannel and relay and that weird lookin sensor on the box its self and now it works but my question...

alternator gettin warm

Soo the motor is in and all fired it up and the alt was gettin warm almost sorta hot i could still touch it though but it was gett pretty warm is this normal..i got the red wire going to the batt on...

ok soo i put a motor in my 96 blazer the motor is outta a 2000 blazer now my question is im going to alberta where it can get to -30 and like -35-40 with windchill but my new motor has no block...

Oh another thing do u guys recomend puttin any silicone on the pan gasket anywhere its one of those rubber ones that fit in the groves..Do i need a lil silicone on the corners also for the intake do...

ya its outta a 2000 i decided to change that crap main seal with a new one but i dont like how the new main seals dont got that steel spring inside those stock ones suck soo im gettin a diff one made...

Ok on the back on the motor right beside the oil pressure switch is the knock sensor i think i got a 96 black and i got a motor from a 2000 jimmy but its different type its the one that has the bolt...

im going to be removing the motor tommorow any advice ive never done any blazers before..My buddie said the top 2 bell housing bolts are the hardest but if u take off the dist or whatever its called...

well i jsut found one with 96 000kms for 700 with 4 month warr soo thats a pretty good deal..i wanted to rebuild it but its expensivee and plus the guy i had it from before the rob broke and did some...

Buyin a motor question

I bought a 1996 blazer with a blowen motor and i found one at a autowrecker for 895 its got 189 000kms is that worth it..Is that ok kms for this motor and would i still get lots of use outta it..also...
