Ok... I disconnected the negative terminal,...

Ok...

I disconnected the negative terminal, hooked up the encoder motor. Installed the front drive shaft with the new u-joint. Reconnected the battery and fired it up.

All lights on the 4wd...

Can you see any larger potential problems swapping out a 4.3 vtec in a 2001 into a 1996 blazer? Planning on getting dirty this weekend pulling parts and swapping around.

I know one person for sure, and heard of several others that use these on their daily driver, weekend warrior trips. The one I know personally is up near 40k on his and hasn't had one problem.

Could be as simple as your battery is not able to pull enough amperage due to the cold weather to start it. Do you have any problems when it's above 32 degrees?

This was a stop by the shop, on his off time, he was doing a bunch of stuff with the code reader/computer and told me that everything was pointing to the encoder motor. This wasn't on the clock work...

Anybody had any luck troubleshooting those codes without a part replacement? The reason he said to swap out the encoder motor was because he could communicate with the TCCM. :icon_shrug:
