I'm ridin' the waterbed waves on mine as well. Just the fronts on mine though, back still seem fine. I'll be getting shocks if anyone can ever give me an answer to my few questions.

Yep, I understand the test part with a 12v source. I think your first statement answered my question, being the TCCM controls the lights. Just merely having a light doesn't mean it's working...
