Help! Pitman arm question

I own a 2005 Gmc jimmy 4x4 .....so I've done all my research and watched all the videos and still ran into problems. I took the power steering gear box off to put the new pitman arm on everything...

Also i still have to replace the inner tie rod and idle arm i believe its creating alot of drag on the truck has any one done that and seen an increase in fuel mileage ?

im going threw the same deal with my 88 2.8L the fuel is crazy i get 400km to a tank i never thought about the timing though my EGR is new ive also put a new fuel pump in.. im planning on changing...

My biggest concern is i dont believe it is...

My biggest concern is i dont believe it is shifting into Overdrive thats why im stuck at 3000rpms when im on the highway... do u have an solutions for that besides getting a rebuild or new...
