Readjusted the linkage to the tranny, and the ignition key works great. Thank G-d. I was almost ready to replace the ignition key cylinder. Thanks to all the above for their info. Kid.

Got Park, lost 1st!

The instructions above worked for my 2000 S-10 pick up. But I lost the position for 1st gear on the auto transmission. This is no big deal because at least my truck won't roll away from me anymore....
