This is the first I've ever heard of a 4.8 running better than a 5.3 of the same year. I just don't see that happening, unless weight is the difference (ext cab 5.3 vs RC 4.8).

IAC = Idle Air Control. It should be on your throttle body. Usually you can just clean them and they are good to go, you should try that first before you go out and buy one.
