You really aren’t missing much as far as Corvettes go... I’ve owned a 69 small block and driven others... GM only made 2 of the 69 ZL1s, hence my choice ;)

hmmm, don't hate the messenger, sounds like it's still off...... While the battery is charging I would confirm #1 cylinder is TDC by removing the spark plug and feeling/listening for compression....

You can always take the old hose, or what is left of it, into the parts store to match the new one up. I used AC Delco 18J3430 on my driver's side front and AC Delco 18J1454 on the passenger side.
