So, I assume the front output shaft on transfer case is just sitting in there and not supposed to fall out? It is a slip yoke, does the clip hold it in securely once shaft is removed?

Spider thing is not that hard to get to, I changed my intake manifold gaskets in a couple hours and the injector assembly removal is only part way into that repair. That was 4 years...
