CSCS @ Cayuga Aug.22, 2010.
yeah, i know, i'm kinda late with posting this.
2 of my brothers invited me down to Cayuga Motor Speedway (aka; Toronto Motor Sports Park) on my birthday, for the Canadian Sport Compact Series (aka; CSCS). it includes a Show 'n Shine, time attack, drifting, and (weather permiting) drags. while it turned out to be a crappy moring (rained pretty much all the way down there, which cancelled the drags), it still turned out to be a pretty good day @ the track. the damp road course turned out to be quite interesting to watch the guys & one gal (who was awsome, btw) try to retain some traction while trying to drift. my youngest brother met a road course guy who just so happens to run a 1st gen ('79 thru '85) RX7. my brother has a couple of RX7's ('84 & '85) and has found it hard to hook up with anyone who has a 1st gen, since most rotory guys are into the 2nd & 3rd gen cars. this guy was super cool. showed him a few tricks on his car, and ended up taking him, my other brother who owns the Dime, and my son, around the track for a few laps each. too bad this was @ the end of the day, as the battery in my camera died right before my son went out. :icon_shrug: was a good day though. awsome times turned in during the time-attack races. saw some great drifting (which my brothers said was severely lacking @ the show down in New York last month) and some sweet cars @ the Show 'n Shine-which was more than 2 hours behind schedule in finishing. supposed to be over @ 7pm, but we didn't get out of there 'til just after 9 (kinda had to stay for his "1st in class" award) here's a CLICKY to the bucket album for that day. (there's just under 200 pic's, so i think this beats looking @ thumbnails) just type in "track day" when prompted. |
